Q. Why is Waitrose Pet closing?

While we’re very grateful for our loyal customers’ business over the past eight years, our Waitrose Pet proposition isn’t aligned to our long-term strategy. Our focus will continue to be on providing fantastic food, drink and service to our grocery customers.

Q. When will Waitrose Pet officially close?

Orders can be placed until midnight on 20 October 2023. We’re working closely with Monster Pet Supplies to ensure our customers can continue to get their usual products directly from www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk.

Q. Do Monster Pet Supplies sell the same products as Waitrose Pet?

Yes, everything you’re currently able to purchase on waitrosepet.com is also available on www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk.

Q. What is Monster Pet Supplies?

At Waitrose & Partners we always strive to bring you the finest products from caring, quality suppliers, so we’re delighted to have worked in partnership with Monster Pet Supplies since the launch of Waitrose Pet. Monster Pet Supplies is the friendly online pet store that helps busy pet owners get exactly what they need to make their pets happy. Whether you're feeding a great big appetite or the most sensitive of stomachs, if you like to harness up and head for the hills or prefer a stroll round the park, the right products for your pet will make all the difference. Monster Pet Supplies offer the things they know pet owners want and they work hard so that you won't be overwhelmed with choice. Monster Pet Supplies was founded in 2009 and is based in Leeds.

Q. Why can’t I set up a new repeat delivery order?

Waitrose Pet will be closing on 20 October 2023, so we are not taking on any new repeat orders. If you would like to set up a repeat order for your pet supplies, we are happy to recommend Monster Pet Supplies (www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk), which has been running this service on our behalf since we launched.

Q. Will Waitrose be moving more pet supplies into shops to accommodate customers? Will my local Waitrose shop sell my pet food?

We stock a range of pet supplies in our shops and on www.waitrose.com, but don’t have space for all of the items available from www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk. We also have a great range of pet accessories available in our John Lewis shops and on www.johnlewis.com. For a wide range of specialist products, we recommend customers visit www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk .

Q. Does Waitrose have any plans to relaunch Waitrose Pet in the future?

Waitrose has no plans to relaunch a specialist pet website at this time.

Q. Does this impact my John Lewis Pet Insurance?

No. This has no impact on our Pet insurance offering or our commitment to help our customers enjoy as many happy moments with their pets as they can.

Q. Will my existing delivery be affected?

All orders currently in process, and any new orders placed up until midnight on 20 October 2023, will be fulfilled by Waitrose Pet.

Q. Can I order supplies from waitrose.com rather than continue with Monster?

Yes, we stock a range of pet food in our shops and on waitrose.com. For more specialist items that we don’t stock, we recommend monsterpetsupplies.co.uk.

To place an order on waitrose.com, click the 'Book a slot' option within Groceries followed by 'Home delivery'. Once you have confirmed your address you will see available delivery slots in your area. To add products to your trolley you can search by category or use the search bar. Use the plus '+' sign to place a product in your trolley and click ‘Checkout’ once you are ready to make payment.

Q. Can I set up a repeat order on waitrose.com for my pet food supplies?

We don’t offer an automatic repeat order service, but you can add items to your favourites or shop from your completed orders to make it quick and easy to order the things you need.

Q. I want to close my Waitrose Pet account now - how do I do this?

Call the Pet by Waitrose & Partners team on 0345 032 8002 or email customerservices@waitrosepet.com. We're open Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm.

Q. Do I need to close my Waitrose Pet account, or will it happen automatically?

Your account will automatically close when the website closes.

Q. What happens to my account details after closure? What happens to my data if I’ve made a purchase?

All data associated with your account will be permanently deleted after closure.

Q. Will I continue to get Partnership Card points if I order from Monster Pet Supplies?

You will still earn 1 point for every £4 spent, but not the increased rate of 5 points for every £4 spent on eligible purchases at John Lewis and Waitrose. For full details see johnlewisfinance.com.

Q. Will this have any impact on my waitrose.com account?

Waitrose.com, Cellar, Florist, Garden and Pet are individual websites, so you’ll have a separate login for each one that you have shopped with. Your Waitrose Pet account is not connected to any of your other accounts, and its closure will have no effect on them.

Q. Can I use my Waitrose Pet login details to log in to www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk ?

No, if you would like to shop on www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk you will need to create a new account.

Q. Will my Waitrose Pet account automatically move to www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk after www.waitrosepet.com closes?

No, your Waitrose Pet account will be closed when the website closes on 20 October 2023. If you would like to shop with Monster Pet Supplies, you will need to visit www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk and set up an account.

Q. I have a repeat order set up on www.waitrosepet.com - when will I receive the last delivery?

The last orders from www.waitrosepet.com will be processed on 20 October 2023. They will be delivered according to the estimated timescales specified in the delivery option information selected by you when you placed the order. You will receive any order due to be processed up until midnight on 20 October 2023.

Q. Will my repeat delivery order automatically continue with Monster Pet Supplies after www.waitrosepet.com closes?

No. If you would like to transition your repeat order to Monster Pet Supplies, you will need to visit https://www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk/landing/repeatdelivery and set up a new repeat delivery order.

Q. Will I still get my repeat order discount with Monster Pet Supplies?

If you set up a repeat delivery order with www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk you will save 10% on your first order, and you can secure a 5% saving on all orders when you subscribe to a repeat delivery on selected brands.

Q: I am expecting a refund and it hasn't been processed yet, but the site has closed. Will I get my refund?
