Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet Canine HP Hepatic is a complete dry veterinary diet for the maintenance of liver function in dogs of all ages, including puppies over 14 weeks of age. It contains the perfect type and level of protein to help prevent malnutrition and lower the risk of hepatic encephalopathy.
This diet is palatable and high in energy to help prevent weight loss, and extremely digestible to help reduce the liver’s workload. Containing lots of essential fatty acids and antioxidants to support the liver, and has limited copper levels to help reduce copper build-up in the liver.
• Selected protein sources to aid the reduction of the build-up of toxins and maintain liver function.
• Low copper levels to lower copper accumulation in the liver.
• High-energy content to help maintain a positive energy balance.
Please note that some types of liver disease may require a low protein diet such as Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Canine NF Renal Function. If your dog suffers with liver disease, please ask your vet with Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet is appropriate.
